13 Days of Love: Day 5 Jinx & Beastly

Jinx by Meg Cabot

Jean, aka Jinx, has been sent away from her family in Iowa because of something that happened with a boy. Now she is in New York City living with her aunt and unlce’s family. Her cousin Tory is not happy the black sheep of the family is living with her.

Jinx meets Zach. But he is in love with the nanny. Tory is in love with Zach. And Jinx is trying not to be in love with anyone. But Jinx wouldn’t be Jinx without her curse following close behind. When Tory outs Jinx as a witch who uses love spells, things take a dangerous turn…

Beastly by Alex Flinn

Kyle Kingsbury is a beast. He didn’t start off as one, but he is now. He pissed off a witch in his English class so she cast a spell on him, turning him into a beast. Until he can find his true love, and hope she sees past the beastliness, he will forever remain a beast.

Beastly is a modern re-telling of Beauty and the Beast that starts off in a chat room of all places (pay special mind to the other members in the chat room) and follows Kyle on his quest for love.
